Beauty For A Cause

Every Fall some of beauty's biggest names (and some other lesser-know but still awesome brands) release new products, special packaging for bestsellers and even limited editions to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October). Typically, a percentage of the sales of these seasonal items are donated to various Breast Cancer foundations and organizations and are used to research cures and prevention as well as raise awareness. According to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure website, over the past twenty years, great improvements have been made in the treatment of breast cancer, and as a result, the number of breast cancer survivors continues to rise. There are about 2.5 million survivors alive in the U.S. today--and by buying products that contribute funds, you might have helped one of these brave women beat this terrible disease. I'll be posting listings of amazing beauty products that are helping in the fight--check back often throughout the rest of September & all of October!
